Heavy Flavor and Jet Studies for the Future Electron-Ion Collider to Explore the Hadronization Process

Heavy flavor production at the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) will allow us to precisely determine quark/gluon fragmentation processes in vacuum and nuclear medium especially within poorly constrained kinematic region. hadron jet reconstruction with recent EIC detector design have been studies simulation. Results of corresponding physics projections such as dependent modification factor $R_{eA}$ electron+nucleus collisions be shown. The statistical precision obtained by these proposed heavy measurements for provides a strong discriminating power separating different theoretical predictions.

An overview over the recent heavy flavor results of the H1 and ZEUS collaborations is presented.
